Apetamin syrup is an antihistamine that helps in the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods, seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, dermatographism, loss of appetite, cold urticarial and many more diseases. The syrup works against the serotonin and histamine produced during such allergic reactions. By stopping their production, the syrup heals your problems. The syrup can treat mild or uncomplicated hives as well.
When under medication, there is a possibility of you experiencing some of the common side effects like constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, nose or throat, blurred vision and a few others. You should consult a doctor if you experience any of these side effects for a long time. The serious side effects that require immediate attention from a doctor are seizures, irregular heartbeat, mood changes and difficulty in urinating. The chances of someone experiencing these serious side effects are quite less.
People who have an allergic reaction to the medicine must not consume it. Similarly, breastfeeding women, elderly people, people suffering from narrow angle glaucoma, peptic ulcer or bowel blockage too must avoid the medication. The dosage of the medication depends on your age, weight, condition of the disease and your response to the treatment.
