Description: 

Ascoril Ls syrup is an active mucolytic agent that helps treat acute or chronic respiratory diseases by breaking down the structure of mucus in lungs. It helpsin the treatment of cough, chest congestion, asthma, sore throat, thickened mucus cough, constriction of airways, lungs inflammation and other such conditions. The syrup works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, promoting mucus clearance with the help of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and local anaesthetic effects. It reduces the production of phlegm in the air passages.

Children below 12 years should not consume this medication. Breastfeeding and pregnant women also must avoid consumption of this medicine. If you suffer from kidney or liver related issues or stomach ulcers, you must consult with your doctor before using the medication.

The medicine can cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, digestive disorders, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, allergy and a few others. The dosage of the medication depends on the age and condition of the disease. You must stick to the prescribed dosages and not self-medicate under any circumstances. It can affect you with serious health issues.
