Description:
Cifran 500 MG Tablet is an antibiotic that is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, gonococcal infection, etc. This medicine is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu, or other viral infections since it is active against infections caused by bacteria only. This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly population as it increases the risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture.
Uses:
- Pneumonia
This medicine is used in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia which is a most common type of lung infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae or Haemophilus influenzae.
- Bronchitis
This medicine is used in the treatment of bronchitis which is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
- Cystitis
This medicine is used in the treatment of cystitis which is a bladder infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, Klebsiella pneumoniae, etc.
- Prostatitis
This medicine is used in the treatment of Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland that produces semen) caused by Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas and Enterococcus species.
- Gonococcal infection
This medicine is used in the treatment of a gonococcal infection, which is a sexually transmitted bacterial infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
- Joint infection
This medicine is used in the treatment of bone and joint infections caused by Enterobacter cloacae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens, etc.
- Pneumonia with cystic fibrosis
This medicine is used in the treatment of pneumonia with cystic fibrosis, an inherited disease that causes thick mucus to build up in the lungs and promotes the growth of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Hemophilus influenzae.
- Pyelonephriits
This medicine is used in the treatment of pyelonephritis which is a type of kidney infection caused by E. coli, Pseudomonas aeurginosa, Enterococci, Klebsiella pneumoniae, etc.
- Inhalation Anthrax
This medicine is used in the treatment of anthrax which is a rare but serious bacterial illness caused by Bacillus anthracis.
- Plague
This medicine is used in the treatment of plague which is a serious bacterial illness caused by Yersinia pestis.
