Description:
Duphaston Tablet is a synthetic progestogen and has a similar action to the female hormone, progesterone. It is used to treat menstrual disorders in women caused due to a lack of hormones. It is also used to reduce the risk of miscarriages or abortions. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.
Uses:
- Dysmenorrhea
This medicine is used to relieve pain and cramps during a menstrual period.
- Endometriosis
This medicine is used in the treatment of endometriosis, a condition characterized by symptoms such as abdominal pain and menstrual irregularities.
- Secondary Amenorrhoea
This medicine is used in the treatment of secondary amenorrhoea, a condition where menstruation has stopped in the absence of pregnancy or menopause.
- Menstrual abnormalities
This medicine is used in the treatment of menstrual abnormalities such as irregular periods, painful periods, etc.
- Dysfunctional uterine bleeding
This medicine is used in the treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding, a condition characterized by irregular or abnormal uterine bleeding in the absence of any recognizable pelvic pathology.
- Premenstrual syndrome
This medicine is used in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome, a condition characterized by symptoms such as mood swings, irritability, depression, fatigue, etc.
- Threatened abortion
This medicine is used in the treatment of threatened abortion, a condition where vaginal bleeding occurs in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy and there is a risk of miscarriage.
- Habitual abortion
This medicine is used in the treatment of habitual abortion, a condition where the patient has suffered three or more consecutive pregnancy losses.
- Infertility due to luteal Insufficiency
This medicine is used in the treatment of infertility due to luteal Insufficiency, a condition where the corpus luteum does not secrete enough progesterone.

This medicine is used in combination with estrogen as hormone replacement therapy for women with disorders due to naturally or surgically induced menopause with an intact uterus.
