Known to be a cardio-selective B1 adrenergic agent, Lodoz 2.5 Tablet blocks the action of a few naturally occurring chemicals in the body, thus helping in the control of health conditions like hypertension and angina. The drug also helps in the prevention of heart failure and myocardial infraction (MI). The drug should only be taken if prescribed and as per the dosage mentioned. It does have certain side effects that a patient should be aware of.
The drug is meant for oral consumption and its dosage may vary from 5 mg to 10 mg and even 20 mg in some cases. Patients should also mention the medication that they are currently taking, before starting a course of Lodoz 2.5 Tablet. This is primarily because some medicines, like that of diabetes interfere with the action of Lodoz 2.5 Tablet. Patients should also mention if they suffer from any other health issues like kidney or liver problem, slow heartbeat, diabetes, thyroid, asthma or hardened arteries as consumption of the drug may lead to severe complications in such cases. Lodoz 2.5 Tablet is not recommended for expecting or breastfeeding mothers too. If a patient is on Lodoz 2.5 Tablet he should avoid driving or drive very carefully as the drug can cause confusion and dizzy spells. Fast movement should also be avoided as it can cause dizziness. Alcohol consumption can enhance the effect of the drug, thus it should be avoided as well.

Lodoz 2.5 Tablet is used in the treatment of Hypertension which is an increase in the blood pressure caused by genetic and/or environmental factors.
Side Effects:
