Atorsave D 10 Tablet belongs to a group of drugs known as “statins”. It reduces the level of low density lipoprotein or “bad cholesterol” in the body. It also helps in curing various conditions like narrowing of arteries that arises due to high cholesterol levels in the body. It can also reduce the amount of liver fat in the body. This drug is also used to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack or coronary heart diseases.

Use of Atorsave D 10 Tablet must be as per directed by the doctor. It is available in tablet form. It is also important to take regular dose of Atorsave D 10 Tablet for best results. However if you have missed a dose, don’t try to compensate it by taking an extra dose with the next one. That is extremely harmful to the body. It is harmful to use Atorsave D 10 Tablet if you are suffering from any liver diseases. Also, this drug is not permitted to be used by anyone below the age of 10 years. A pregnant woman or someone planning to get pregnant should not take this drug. You should also consult with your doctor regarding the intake of this drug in case you are suffering from kidney disease or undergoing dialysis. Some other conditions that require the doctor’s clearance are: if you are taking any prescribed medicine or diet supplements, if you have any food or medicine allergies, if you consume alcohol regularly, if you are suffering from any kind of muscle problems, if you have low blood pressure, if you have diabetes etc.

Atorsave D 10 Tablet is used in the treatment of Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia which is a genetic disorder characterized by high cholesterol levels.
- Prevention of cardiovascular diseases
Atorsave D 10 Tablet is used to reduce the incidence of heart attacks by reducing the levels of bad cholesterol in the body.
- Prevention of Stroke
Atorsave D 10 Tablet is used to reduce the incidence of stroke by reducing the levels of bad cholesterol in the body.
