Description:
Dexona 0.5 MG Tablet is similar to the steroidal hormone produced by the adrenal glands. It is used to treat internal and external swelling associated with diseases like asthma, colitis, arthritis, severe skin allergies etc. It is also used for other conditions like adrenal hormonal insufficiency, certain types of anemia, cerebral edema etc.
Uses:
- Inflammation
This medicine is used to reduce or prevent swelling associated with conditions like asthma, colitis, allergic skin reactions etc.
- Joint inflammation
This medicine is used to relieve swelling and pain associated with diseases like arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, gout etc.
- Eye/Ear inflammation
This medicine is used to relieve swelling, irritation, burning of the eye and ears caused due to infections, allergy, exposure to chemicals etc.
- Chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting
This medicine is used to prevent nausea and vomiting associated with the use of chemotherapy medicines for the treatment of cancer.
- Bacterial Meningitis
This medicine is used along with other antibiotics to relieve the symptoms of meningitis in children.
- Cushing's syndrome
This medicine is used as a diagnostic test for Cushing's syndrome.
- Immunosuppression
This medicine is used in the prevention immune response under certain specific conditions like Lupus, Psoriasis, Multiple sclerosis, Alopecia etc.
- Cerebral edema
This medicine is used for the management of this condition where an excess of water gets accumulated in the brain.
- Shock
This medicine is used in the management of shock where the patient is unresponsive.
- Cancer
This medicine is also used for the management of certain specific forms of cancer like Multiple myeloma, brain tumors etc.
