Description:
Dizitac Tablet a type of anti-histamine drug, is used to treat balance disorders such as in Ménière's disease, including vertigo, ringing in the ears, nausea and vomiting. Benefits of being on this drug also include relief from, or prevention of, the symptoms of travel sickness.
Side effects experienced while taking Dizitac Tablet range from being mild to quite severe. Some possible side effects include dry mouth, sweating, headache, lethargy, skin problems, gastrointestinal irritation, muscle rigidity, hypersensitivity reactions, as well as movement problems, and tremor. It is also known to increase the risk of having acute and chronic parkinsonism. Overdosing can cause symptoms such as somnolence, hypotonia, coma, vomiting, stupor, and convulsions.
Dizitac Tablet should be used with caution in the elderly, women who are pregnant or who are breastfeeding, patients with liver or kidney problems, Parkinson's disease or a blood disorder called acute porphyria. It should not be used in people who are allergic to this drug or any other ingredient in it, and in children under the age of 5. If you are taking any medicines to cure sleeplessness, anxiety or depression then inform your doctor.
This medication is usually recommended to be taken by mouth, usually three-times daily for balance problems or every 8 hours during travel for travel sickness. Tablets should be taken after meals to avoid stomach upset. Your prescription depends on your gender, age, medical condition, use of certain interacting medicines and response to therapy.
Uses:
- MOTION SICKNESS
This medicine is used to prevent and treat sickness and dizziness associated with motion sickness
- VERTIGO AND VESTIBULAR DISORDERS
This medicine is used to treat vertigo and other symptoms caused by balance and movement problems such as sickness, vomiting, ringing of ears. It is also used to treat similar symptoms of Meniere's disease.
- HEART AND BLOOD VESSEL DISORDER
This medicine is also sometimes used to treat blood circulation disorders caused due to narrowing of vessels.
Side Effects:
In addition to its intended effect, Dizitac Tablet may cause some unwanted effects too. In such cases, you must seek medical attention immediately. This is not an exhaustive list of side effects. Please inform your doctor if you experience any adverse reaction to the medication.
